KT MC Cammond’s debut CD, Finding My Way Home, (dedicated to her late husband, Mac,) offers up a smorgasbord of well-delivered tunes in genres ranging from jazz to pop to cabaret. In C’est Si Bon, McCammond honors well her frequent muse Eartha Kitt, yet with a sensuality that is distinctly McCammond’s. Mc Cammond’s voice is supple and she can trade eights with the best of ‘em in the jazz tracks. That said, where this collection glows is in the less arranged, more simply delivered tracks. Natural Woman, with harmonies added by Beckie Menzie, mixes power and gratitude in a well-sung interpretation. Emily Remembers (by Shirley Eikhard) is arguably the best track. McCammond shares Eikhard’s message in a way that is far more loving than sorrowful. One cannot help but be moved. Finding My Way Home should find a good place in your home.
