 MARK BURNELL pianist, vocalist, arranger
With two music degrees from Carnegie Mellon, Burnell has instructed jazz at Carnegie Mellon, Roosevelt, and Northwestern Universities. His vocal quartet Cooler by the Lake released a CD with Richie Cole, and toured Europe three times. His music director credits include Quality Time, by renowned jazz composer Dave Frishberg, at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, the improv comedy group Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, and in Chicago: Musical! the musical at the Royal George Theater, and Mr. Bojangles: the Ultimate Entertainer at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.
